One of the most prestigious events in the squash calendar, the Power Courts 2013 PSA World Series Finals, sees the world’s eight best players
travel to Richmond to compete for the coveted title of World Series Champion.
World No.1 Nick ‘The Wolf’ Matthew of England leads the star studded line-up of world class athletes who will compete in two round robin groups of four for a place in the semi-finals where the competition intensifies.
Matthew will be joined by the charismatic Ramy Ashour of Egypt, dynamic French champion Gregory Gautier, Spanish ‘Matador’ Borja Golan, Egypt’s ‘Dark Prince’ Karim Darwish and 23-year-old sensation Mohamed Elshorbagy along with fellow English-rival James ‘The Marksman’ WIllstrop.
Egyptian ‘Maestro’ Amr Shabana, the 2012 and 2011 World Series Finals Champion, misses the opportunity to defend his crown after failing to collect enough points to guarantee a place at the World Series Finals with compatriot Tarek Momen taking the final spot.
Making it’s US debut, the 2013 World Series Finals will see the most talented players in the squash world compete in a whirlwind five days of action in a shorter, best of three-game format which will see their skill, athleticism and dynamism tested to the brink.
